Artwork guidelines

Files that make beautiful metal.

Metal is permanent, so preparation matters. Follow these guidelines to keep your project moving — or let our design team handle it for you.

  1. 01

    Vector artwork preferred

Send logos as AI, EPS, PDF or SVG. Vector shapes scale cleanly and give the cleanest results on metal. If you only have a JPG or PNG, send the largest version you have — we'll tell you whether it can work or should be redrawn.

  2. 02

    Outline your fonts

Convert all text to outlines (or curves) before sending so nothing substitutes unexpectedly. Keep an editable copy for future changes.

  3. 03

    Design for contrast

Light details on dark finishes, dark details on light finishes. Warm finishes like gold-tone and rose gold need extra care — low-contrast colors can fade into the surface.

  4. 04

    Respect safe margins

Keep text, logos and codes comfortably inside the card edge. Exact safe areas depend on the product, so we'll confirm them for your card.

  5. 05

    Confirm technical dimensions

Don't assume paper card sizes apply. Square, bottle opener and NFC formats each have their own usable area. Ask us for dimensions before finalizing.

  6. 06

    Avoid hairline details

Very thin strokes and tiny type can lose definition depending on the decoration method. Choose sturdy weights for small text.

  7. 07

    Give QR codes room

Leave clear space around QR codes, use strong contrast, and test the link on several phones before approval.

  8. 08

    Label everything

Clearly mark front and back, note brand colors if you have references, and remove hidden or unused layers.
